DAY 1

 Arrive in Muscat and transfer to 3* hotel (30mins)

Day 2

 A leisurely start to the day with hotel pick-up at 9.30am transferring you to the marina for the 10am game fishing boat departure. After angling the fish-filled coastal waters of Oman for 3hrs you return to the marina in time for lunch and an afternoon at leisure. 

Day 3

 Today we make our way back to Bander Khayran beach just outside of Muscat for a day afternoon of kayaking and via ferrata over water. Look down into the shallow waters to see turtles and marine life below. It’s then back to Muscat for the evening.

Day 4

Up and out by 8am for a 2 dive day with full equipment at the marine reserve of the Daymaniyat Islands, around 40mins boat ride away.

Returning around 2pm, you have the afternoon at leisure.

Day 5

Up and out early for the drive to this remote cave and a day of exploring the depths of this breathtaking cave. Tonight’s accommodation is a wild camp either at the cave entrance or a short drive away at the stunning powder soft White Beach.

Note: if you camp at the cave you can head to the beach first thing next day.

Day 6

After a leisurely morning snorkeling and simply enjoying being on the beach, we have lunch before breaking camp and heading to the fishing town of Sur where we explore the traditional working dhow yard and on to our barista huts at the Turtle Beach Resort for dinner and to chill out. Around 9pm we set out to see the turtles laying their eggs on the beach and new hatchlings bursting through the sand and heading for the sea.

Day 7

For early risers we can head back to the beach to see the last of the baby turtles heading out to sea before returning to the hotel for breakfast. We then engage 4WD and head to the Sharqiyah (Wahiba) Sands to meet our Bedouin hosts and explore the dunes on camel back and in 4WD. We then return to the camp for an evening of traditional food and entertainment.

Day 8

It’s up early and after a typical Bedouin breakfast of honey pancakes we’re off for the 2 hour drive on and offroad and up through stunning landscape to the start of the Via Ferrata over Snake Canyon.

Dressed in loose fitting comfortable clothes and trainers, with water stocked day packs, you’ll traverse in a loop around the Canyon at 100m using a circuit of zip wires and flying foxes. After such an adrenalin filled day you return to Muscat to relax for the afternoon/evening..

Day 9

A much deserved day of leisure – although it can be as busy and active as you want it to be! Take your pick from the vast range of activities on offer or simply chill out by the pool or on the beach.

It’s then time to shower and quick refresh in time for the airport departure around 5pm for your 7.30pm flight.
